HDM Steel Pipe Industry and Trade Inc. ( HDM ) was established in 2002 in the Gebze district of Kocaeli, Turkey. In 2009, the company specialized in the production of steel construction/piling pipes used in LNG terminals, cruise ship terminals, marine and port structures, as well as onshore structural reinforcements. It also made an investment in a production facility located in the Mersin Free Zone, which includes its own port, for the production of steel construction/piling pipes. HDM manufactures steel construction and steel piling pipes in different sizes and custom lengths. Additionally, it produces octagonal profiles used as the main supports in solar tracking systems for solar energy panels. Furthermore, the company has completed its investment in the production of welding wire, which is consumed by all manufacturing sectors that process steel materials through welding. HDM is a global company focused on export-oriented production, exporting its products to 57 countries across 5 continents. Leveraging its founders approximately 40 years of personal and corporate experience in steel pipe manufacturing, HDM has specialized in a niche product range. It supplies customized products for international investors, contractors, and engineering firms, adhering to international quality standards (TSE, API, EN, ASTM) and project-specific requirements (e.g., sheet thickness, different quality standards, pipe length, and diameter). The majority of HDM s production activities are carried out at its production facility in the Mersin Free Zone, established in 2009. The facility spans 43,000 m² in total, with 32,000 m² of covered space. At this facility, steel construction/piling pipes with diameters ranging from 406 mm to 3750 mm and wall thicknesses up to 50 mm are produced using spiral welding, longitudinal welding, and other technologies. The production and insulation processes comply with international quality standards. HDM can produce steel piles up to 80 meters in length and 100 tons in weight, which can be shipped via sea from the Mersin Free Zone port. HDM also has a production facility in Gemlik, Turkey, covering a total area of 15,000 m², with 4,100 m² of covered space. Until 2022, this facility produced steel pipes. Prior to 2022, during certain periods, the machinery and equipment at this facility were used for on-site production projects carried out at customer sites. In 2022, the machinery and equipment were transferred to the Mersin production facility. Moving forward, this facility is intended to function as a steel service center. In addition to production at its own facilities, HDM also utilizes on-site production methods. Using this method, HDM can quickly mobilize a mobile production facility at existing construction sites and produce pipes to the same standards and quality as fixed production facilities.
